Yeo-reum laughs at this…he thinks it’s the other way around, that Ki-tae is interested but Jang-mi isn’t. Marriage Not Dating Episode 12

But she cries that she’s not like them, because she can’t keep her feelings locked up, and turns to leave. I watched the first two episodes when I was really tired and had trouble following the sequence of events, and the logic behind. You saved me a lot of time and head scratching! So far I love the acting and the chemistry between the couples (or would-be couples).

The Heavenly Idol ( Episode 9

Shaking with fury, he cries, “Nemo! ” and gets the fish back in the tank and roars at her to leave. It’s hilarious how she runs around touching all his stuff, causing Ki-tae to wig out, which just makes her do it even more to get under his skin. The last straw is when Jang-mi settles into his expensive massage chair and changes the settings, but she says she’s earned the right by helping him stay a bachelor. Ki-tae reluctantly lets Jang-mi come in just until Hoon-dong leaves, which is apparently a big deal as he never has visitors, not even women.

But the cop says Hoon-dong’s mom wants her charged with stalking, so it’ll have to go to court. Ki-tae remembers that today is her court date. Ki-tae says he’s interfering https://datingstream.org/ this time for Jang-mi’s benefit, and she scoffs that she knows she’s hit rock bottom right now, “But I can’t be clean and cool and polite like you people!

Its kinda annoying to see when we have two bubbling leads with the craziest eyes and expressive acting. Thank you so much for your wonderful recaps! As always, your insightful descriptions and feelings on the show give me food for thought. Later, Jang-mi sits outside, doing all the cooking herself.

She sees what he’s playing at—he brings home a girlfriend, which gets Mom to back off on the blind dates, while he gets to remain single. She isn’t interested in helping him trick his family though, while he sighs that if he could’ve handled it with a talk he would’ve; it’s not that kind of family. Sometime later, Ki-tae relaxes with a bath and thinks back to Jang-mi’s moments of heartbreak, calling her dumb for going there and having to hear it for herself. In flashback we see that when she fell asleep at the precinct, he lied and said he wasn’t a victim of the attack, and asks for the charge to be taken care of with a fine.

Kokdu: Season of Deity ( Episode 14

Ki-tae follows her out of the club and says he’ll help her get revenge—he’ll make it so that Hoon-dong falls in love with her, so she can kick him to the curb. She stops and wonders if she can become cool and detached like other people, and he promises that if she follows his lead, she can. He makes it in the door just in time, and Mom calls off the real estate hostage negotiations. Mom, Dad, and Grandma all come out to greet him, and their expressions all morph into looks of horror as Jang-mi finally steps out.

It turns out that Yeo-reum’s suit was paid for by Se-ah, who invited him to her charity party and wanted him looking his best. Hoon-dong gets peeved that he seems friendly with Jang-mi too, and Yeo-reum just reminds him that they’re broken up. Hoon-dong counters that she’s just nice to everyone, so it’s not what he thinks. Thankfully for us, Ki-tae’s family is so nuts that his aunt is currently following them, so they have to go on a date to keep up appearances. Over dinner and wine, Ki-tae notices how Jang-mi is constantly going out of her way to help others and muses that she lives for approval and probably gets used often. She spends the next few hours stumbling around drunk, insisting on finding something to bring to his parents.

Call It Love (

Jang-mi sarcastically apologizes and storms out. Mom takes Jang-mi shopping for food for the memorial, where Jang-mi admits that her family doesn’t follow these rituals. Mom points out that in her family, the women do all the work to prepare the food. She tasks Jang-mi with peeling a massive bag of chestnuts that night, and tells her to be at their house early in the morning. Se-ah asks what his relationship is with Jang-mi, but he just muses that she must be great because everyone seems interested in her. Se-ah says that it’s Ki-tae she’s interested in, and that she thinks Ki-tae isn’t serious about Jang-mi.

Though I really love their approaches onto the conflicts and hijinks of those two, I couldn’t help but feel hanging around about the other roles’ motives or something. Anyway, up until now I still love the execution so hoping they could maintain or even surprise us on next episodes. The news about this show failed to impress me even though I do like both leads…’meh, another contract marriage story.’ Was I wrong…great characters and directing, broken tropes everywhere.
